Kamisama Kiss & K Project

Kamisama Kiss

Summary:

After her father having run away due to gambling debts, and being evicted from her apartment, Nanami meets Mikage, a strange man who is afraid of dogs. Nanami saves Mikage from a dog and tells him her story. He gives Nanami his house as a thank you for saving him. Nanami accepts the offer, due to having nowhere else to go. Mikage draws her up a map showing her where to go. Upon arriving, she finds that it is a rundown shrine. Nanami is then almost killed by Tomoe, who was expecting Mikage to finally return after his 20 year absence. She is then greeted by both Onikiri and Kotetsu, as the new land god of the shrine. Unable to accept Nanami as the new land god, Tomoe mocks her then leaves the shrine, which, without Tomoe's power transforms back into a run-down state. Not wanting to rob Tomoe of his home and realizing that her powers as a god are too weak anyway Nanami leaves, but eventually is brought back by Tomoe after she seals a contract with him, making him her familiar.

Opinion:

hehe Okay, I fought reading this for a while, but honestly, I should have just gone a head and tried it. It's cute and silly and sweet...I just watched the entire series and if you like shoujo and haven't looked at this yet, seriously, it's like Fruits Basket but less depressing. :)

K Project

Summary:

Set in a world where history has taken a slightly different course from the one we're familiar with, K follows the story of a young boy whose life is caught in a psychic war between seven kings. Ashinaka High School is known for its unique setting: the entire campus is built on an island. Yashiro Isana, aka Shiro, is having lunch with a cat on one of the school rooftops. After his lunch break, Shiro goes on an errand for his classmate Kukuri to prepare for their upcoming school festival, only to be chased by some intimidating-looking men.

Opinion:

Well, so far, not bad. I'm slightly concerned about the sheer quantity of characters (seems like a dating sim ripoff) but so far, the art work and camera angle is decent and the story plot interesting. Any one notice how Yata Misaki looks like Zelman Clock from Black Blood Brothers?
